I've never been more happy with receiving a Brazilian wax that I was today and I've been getting them done elsewhere for the past 6 years now. For women with curly hair it tends to take a bit longer and somewhat more painful because of this, however Lisa knows her stuff! No longer do you have to bare the pain of them pulling at the same spot over and over again. Her techniques are great! Come here, you will most definitely be satisfied. | Today was my first experience with brazilian waxing aside from my original lady I have been going to for years. The receptionists were great at accommodating my last minute appointment. Khellan was professional, efficient and did a great job. I liked the way I was included in the process (stretching) and how she explained different plans available for me to consider. Lastly, I appreciated the clean up and cooling off self care that was offered as well as the no rush environment. Thank you to the receptionists and Khellan for making my first visit enjoyable!!! | I rarely ever take the time to write reviews, but this place really deserves the recognition! Valentine's Day is approaching so I thought I'd surprise my man with a sexy Brazilian wax! After searching for the best Brazilian wax in Toronto on Google, a link "Best waxing toronto $35 brazilian wax!" caught my eye and I discovered Aroma Wellness Clinic and Spa. Of course I was a little hesitant knowing that most places charge $50+ but the nowtoronto website that featured Aroma's ads were very convincing, especially reading the specials and that they do it in 8 minutes! I then checked out Aroma's official website and called for an appointment for my best friend and I one week before Valentine's. *TIP: visiting a spa's official website is usually a good way to get a sense of the place and important info including specials! Aroma is conveniently located near Bathurst Station, across from Honest Ed's. When we got there, my best friend and I were a bit skeptical about the flight of stairs leading to the spa since it's built over a store. I've been to a spa in Yorkville with a similar layout and it didn't turn out too well. Luckily, as you walk up, you can truly understand the meaning behind the name as pleasant aromas meet you halfway. Receptionists were attentive and courteous - one even took our coats. We were a little early but were taken in shortly. It was my first time getting a Brazilian wax but I thank Mary for helping me make it a quick, almost painless experience by preoccupying me with her conversation and involving me in the process (ie, stretching the skin). She completed it in less than 10 minutes and got me wondering where the real pain was gonna kick in the whole time! *TIP: Aroma's website lists helpful tips, one of them being to take a Tylenol (I took Extra Strength!) about 30 minutes prior to your appointment - glad I did! I will always recommend Mary (I believe she is the owner). She does about 20 Brazilian waxes a day and her record was 37 in one day, ironically for Valentine's! She has assured me though that the other estheticians were rock stars (of waxing) and they all have at least 4-5 years experience if not more, or else they wouldn't be able to work there! We were there on Tuesday, February 7 and the price was amazing at LESS than $35 as you get 15% OFF wax services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Also, if you're a first time waxer at their spa, you get to choose a FREE wax service: upper lip, underarm or bikini line. We both chose to get our upper lip waxed and even that was quick and smooth! | Needed a new waxing place because I had a sneaking suspicion that my old one was way overpriced, plus it was always an ordeal that I put off since it could take upwards of forty minutes for a brazilian, and as we all know they aren't the most pleasant of experiences to begin with. Sooo, I turned Google and saw the great recommendations for this cute little salon in the Annex. <br /> Turns out...I was impressed! Mary at Aroma was fast fast fast. The wax was relatively painless (they use Special custom-made wax), and still significantly cheaper than my old place! The receptionist is very friendly, and they've always been accomodating of my last minute appointment requests. Parking is easy nearby, and I've never had to wait long, in fact they've gotten me in early before. <br /> Aroma is my new go-to waxing stop! | I've heard some reviews of this new spa so I decided to give it a go. I've had my fair share of Brazilian waxes and there are no in-betweens; they're either good or they're horrible. Let me tell you, Aromas's was AMAZING! My esthetician was khellen and she was incredible! First off the salon is so gorgeous, very feminine and well-kept, and mostly clean which is hard to come by in this city. The waxing process was super quick (less then 15 minutes which is so rare!) and painless. In my mind I wanted a waxer who is quiet and doesn't engage in conversation, but Khellen was so kind and kept the conversation going so I didn't even realize what was happening! Afterwards my skin was not even red one bit! I swear to god, the wax they use is magical! Not one bump, ingrown, or hair left, I left so amazed and I have my monthly appointment from now on! Khellen also recommended some other treatments specialized for me that I booked for next time as well. This place is a must try!! Thanks so much to everyone at Stript! | I had my first brazilian wax today at Aroma Wellness. My heart was beating before the procedure, but Mary made me feel really comfortable. Surprisingly, it was easier than I really thought! | I was running about 10 minutes late, and Mary was so friendly about it. I had never had a bikini wax at all, and she was great about explaining the process and making me feel comfortable. | i LOVE Aroma Spa! I had been really scared to get a Brazilian wax but a close friend highly recommended Renata or Mary. So I just went for it! BOY am I glad I did! :) The staff was super friendly and offered some Tea for my first time to get me a little relaxed. When I met Renata she quickly made me feel comfortable and calm...felt like I had known her for years. She talked to me the entire time - I was so busy talking I didnt feel the pain much. | My sisters and I had an amazing spa experience at the clinic on December 11, 2010. We stayed for 4 hours and had a range of services from Massage, Facial to Salt Glow. The staff there is amazing! They made us feel welcome, at home and very relaxed. My only piece of advice would be for the spa to offer some type of meal/refreshements on that long of a visit. I would have been great to have light refreshments, finger sandwiches or pastries...even if there was a cost. We would have loved to have some food to tie us over until our services were complete.
