You want immediate smoothness
Waxing removes the visible hair and root in one appointment, with no laser series required.
Waxing removes hair from the root, so the area feels smooth until the hair grows back. Laser targets suitable pigmented hair over a series of appointments to reduce future growth.
Aroma offers both services. The better fit depends on the area, hair colour and thickness, skin, recent tanning, budget, timing and how much ongoing maintenance you want.
Waxing can stay part of your routine when you like immediate results. Laser may be worth considering when you want less long-term regrowth and can follow a treatment schedule.
Both services can be good choices. The main difference is temporary removal now versus a planned long-term reduction series.
| Question | Waxing | Laser hair removal |
|---|---|---|
| Result type | Immediate temporary smoothness. | Long-term hair reduction over a treatment series. |
| Hair colour | Can remove hair of any colour. | Needs enough pigment in the hair to respond effectively. |
| Schedule | Repeated as hair returns, often every few weeks. | Usually about four weeks for facial areas and six weeks for body areas during the initial plan. |
| Between appointments | Hair grows until it is long enough to wax again. | Shaving is allowed. Root-removal methods are not. |
| Ingrown-prone areas | Some clients do well, while others still experience bumps. | May reduce the growth contributing to ingrowns for suitable clients. |
| Long-term upkeep | Appointments continue as long as you want the smooth result. | Maintenance may be needed after the main series. |

Waxing can remove grey, white, blonde, red and other very light hair that may not respond effectively to laser.
Waxing works visit by visit without committing to face or body session spacing.
Waxing can suit events, travel and clients who are not ready to begin laser.
Laser is designed to reduce suitable hair growth over a planned series, not guarantee that every hair never returns.
Laser may reduce how much regular shaving or waxing you need later.
Laser may help when suitable hair growth contributes to recurring bumps, subject to assessment.
Darker, coarser hair often responds more strongly than fine or very light hair.
Do not wax, sugar, tweeze, thread, epilate or use depilatory creams for four weeks before your first laser session or between laser appointments. Shave about 24 hours before treatment.
We assess current skin, recent tanning, hair colour, thickness, medications, tattoos, moles and the area.
Every new laser client completes a test patch before the first full treatment.
