Bikini line and high bikini: the real difference
A bikini wax is just outside the underwear line, it’s best for any client who only has a little bit of hair outside that line. Clean edges, nothing more.
A high bikini wax is outside the thong line, best for anybody with hair outside the bikini line and a little further onto the thigh. It’s also great before a vacation, since it removes all the hair outside the bikini area without going as far as a Brazilian.
If you want hair removed from the full pubic region including front and back, that is a Brazilian wax. At Aroma, the service is always customized: so if you are somewhere between levels, tell the technician what you want and they will map it out.

How to prep for bikini waxing
A little prep makes a big difference: especially in a sensitive area. These steps help the wax grip, reduce irritation, and make the appointment easier.

Let the hair grow
About a quarter inch is ideal. If you shave, that usually means waiting around two weeks. Too short and the wax cannot grip properly.

Exfoliate gently the day before
Light exfoliation helps lift dead skin and free up any trapped hairs. Do not scrub hard the day of: irritated skin before waxing makes things worse.

Arrive clean, skip heavy lotions
Clean, dry skin lets the wax bond to the hair, not a layer of moisturizer. Skip heavy creams and oils on the day of your appointment.

Wear loose, breathable clothing
Tight underwear or rough fabric rubbing on a freshly waxed bikini line is uncomfortable. Loose cotton is the smart choice coming and going.

Mention medications or skincare
Retinol, isotretinoin, and some antibiotics can increase skin sensitivity. Let the clinic know before your appointment.
After your appointment
The 24 to 48 hours after matter
The bikini area is sensitive. A few simple habits after your appointment keep things calm and give you the cleanest result.

Skip intense workouts
Sweat and friction in a freshly waxed area can cause bumps and irritation. Give it at least 24 hours before heavy exercise.

Avoid pools, hot tubs, and saunas
Heat and chemicals can irritate the skin right after waxing. Stay out for at least 24 to 48 hours.

Wear loose clothing for the day
Tight underwear or leggings rubbing on the waxed area can cause redness and bumps. Loose cotton gives the skin room to settle.

Moisturize with something gentle
A fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe helps calm the skin. Skip anything with alcohol or strong actives for the first 48 hours.

Start exfoliating again after 48 hours
Gentle exfoliation between appointments helps prevent ingrown hairs: but give the area two days first before resuming.
