Sensitive skin sugaring needs a smarter plan
Sugaring may feel gentler for some clients, but sensitive skin still needs caution. The safest approach depends on the area, skincare products, skin condition that day, and whether you have reacted to hair removal before.
Sugaring is a natural option, just sugar, water, and lemon, which is why clients with sensitive skin or who are pregnant often choose it. Most women come a few weeks before their due date to make sure everything is clean and ready. We have special techniques for anyone who is pregnant. But technique matters: done wrong, sugaring can still cause sensitivity and ingrowns, so it should be done by a trained sugarist.
Important: Do not sugar over broken, sunburned,
rashy, infected, or actively irritated skin. Ask before booking if
the skin is not calm.
