Full face waxing covers the upper lip, chin, under the chin, sideburns, and cheeks, and if you’d like, we can also do the forehead. You can book one small area or combine a few in the same visit.

Upper lip waxing is done with our soft Aroma cream-based wax. It removes the coarse hair and also the very thin, fine vellus hairs. After an upper lip wax there is slight redness due to the gentle exfoliation of the skin. We apply our after-wax lotion with aloe, which calms, soothes, and hydrates. Most clients are ready to leave with no redness within five minutes.

View serviceNose waxing, done safely, requires hard wax only because hard wax attaches itself to the hair and not to the membranes of the nose. We remove the hairs from the inner to the mid and outer nose area, anything that is visible. We don’t go deep, and we don’t recommend overdoing nose waxing. Too much can remove some of the important hairs and possibly damage the membrane if done repeatedly.
View serviceEar waxing at Aroma uses two different waxes for safety and comfort. We start with our cream-based wax along the earlobe to remove the outer hair, then use hard wax for the inside of the ear. Hard wax only attaches itself to the hair, not to the ear membrane. It’s not painful, it’s quick, in and out in less than six minutes. Men book this one most often, as they have more hair on the outer lobe and inside the ear canal. For consistent results, come in every four weeks.

Pause retinol, strong acids, aggressive exfoliation, and prescription acne treatments around the brows or face before your appointment unless your provider tells you otherwise.
Waxing isn’t the best choice for the face if you have psoriasis, eczema, severe acne, or are taking skin thinners like Accutane or a high-percentage retinol, these thin the skin. Retinols, acids, and exfoliating before facial waxing also thin the skin and can cause irritation, bumps, redness, even skin lifting. Tell your technician before wax touches the skin.
Light makeup is okay, but clean skin is better when possible. Avoid heavy oils or creams on the area right before the service.
After facial waxing, wear SPF that day, avoid extreme heat such as hot showers, hot tubs, sauna, or steam room, and hold off on retinols for at least 10 days. Try not to touch the area until the skin feels calm.
Facial waxing is small but sensitive. If your skin is thin, irritated, sunburned, freshly treated, affected by recent skin treatments, or reactive, we may suggest waiting or choosing threading instead.
Threading is available at our Yonge & Davisville / Midtown location for eyebrows, upper lip, chin, sideburns, neck, and full face. It can be a good choice for clients who want precise facial hair removal or prefer not to use wax on some facial areas.

Waxing is fast and smooth for many small areas. Threading can feel more controlled for brows and fine facial hairs. Both can be useful, and the best choice depends on your skin and preference.
